One of the fun things about Gaia is its own (kind of bizarre) economy and the mini-shops that players open themselves. While I do not have my own art shop since I really should spend more time drawing for the real world, I do get approached for art.
For digital payment, of course.
I turned this (from Gaia Online):
at the user Moonwonderer’s request, into this:
The only thing missing from the original is her ring, which I wasn’t able to show since other hand positions that I tried looked quite awkward.
I realized later how Disney princess-y it looked, but that’s the feeling that I got from the original avatar, so I decided to keep it. It’s kind of relaxing to be able to just draw a character without a space and without a clear action. ^^ *cannot help it* Ah, well. Time to go be a good illustrator again.
Commissions are: OPEN!
My email address is joyce (AT) inkgizmo (DOT) com. Please contact me with your idea and I will get back to you ASAP. I accept both commercial and personal commissions.
If you would like to order prints of existing work, please see my Imagekind print shop; if there is a picture that you would like a print of that isn’t in the shop, please feel free to ask for it.
I am not currently selling originals of works.
I reserve the right to:
- refuse a commission where I am uncomfortable with either the theme or the terms
- reproduce and show commissions as portfolio/gallery pieces; I will never re-sell a work done as a commission (as a print or, in some cases, the finished original) unless you specifically allow it.
This week’s IF topic was “Enough”…very tough! I went through a Japanese language blooper to gas prices to war…but I eventually settled on drawing things that I really like drawing: kids and candy.
I’m not old enough to remember the days of penny candy, but I’ve read that they were glorious. Did she save enough money to buy her favorite sweets?
So this is a piece from about a month ago, but looking at it again, I really want to share it, especially with all of the Illustration Friday entries that people made about how their heads are foggy without their morning cup of coffee.
It’s true for me, too.
